The emergence of AI within companies creates a number of opportunities; efficiency gains, economic gains, job creation... but also threats. Why does AI have a negative impact on normative discussions in the decision-making process?
When AI is used in business to assist in decision-making, it creates issues in identifying the moral normative reasons behind these decisions. It becomes impossible to know on what grounds these decisions are based-on and then to justify them by moral principles. Normative discussions are therefore removed from the decision-making process by artificial intelligence.
Xerfi Canal interviewed Ismael Al-Amoudi, professor of Social and Organizational Theory at GEM and Director of "le Centre d’Ontologie Sociale", to talk about challenges around artificial intelligence.
