GEM Research at the Top of the Shanghai Rankings 2021

On May 26th, The Shanghai Rankings published its Global Rankings of Academic Subjects (GRAS). Dedicated to thematic research, GEM is ranked for the 5th consecutive year. The school's research is ranked among the best in the world and is in the top six of French business schools.

Managenement Subject Ranking: 7th

Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM) is ranked in the Top 400 worldwide and in 7th place among Business School in France. The strength of GEM's Research in Management is well established. It has been demonstrated by its performance each year since the creation of the Management ranking subject in 2017.

Business Administration Subject Ranking: 6th

GEM is ranked sixth Business School in France and is a part of the Top 200 worldwide out of 400 Institutions ranked in the Business Administration Subject.
The Grenoble school is even ranked 5th in France on the indicator dedicated to publications in journals of excellence. This criterion is based on the number of publications in a shortlist of journals of excellence around the world. Only 164 journals are used for the 48 Shanghai Subject Rankings that exist.

Economics Subject Ranking: 6th

Ranked in the world's Top 500 worldwide and sixth Business School in France, GEM is ranked for the first time in the Economics subject this year.
The highest score of GEM is 90.7 out of 100 scores on the International collaboration indicator. It is the fifth-best score for a French Institution; GEM is behind four Business Schools and one University.

Shanghai Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS)

Launched in 2017, the GRAS rankings are based on specific research topics. They are more specialized than the original Shanghai Global Shanghai Ranking launched in 2003 but they use the same indicators: number of publications, quotation rates, impact of publications and international collaborations for each ranked institution.
