The Financial Times launches a new criteria: CSR

Part-Time MBA, GEM
Published on
18 October 2018

The 2018 EMBA Financial Times Ranking also introduces a new criteria: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Grenoble Ecole de Management (GEM), was ranked 21st European program on this criteria.

The introduction of this criteria supports Grenoble Ecole de Management’s engagement in becoming a School for Business for Society. As Loïck Roche recently explained in a Xerfi Canal interview, the role of a Business School in today’s society is to enable students to have the social and environmental awareness and responsibility required to envision the future.

The introduction of this criteria is a historical moment for GEM in its development. It confirms the School’s investment in training its students with the skills and knowledge to become the socially and environmentally aware managers of our future society.

The Financial Times has gone one step further in giving the example by attributing greater importance to gender equality (within Faculty members, Board members and Students) defining “best representation” with 50% men and 50% women. GEM scored between 35 to 53% in all 3 of these categories.

The GEM Part-Time MBA has been ranked 60th worldwide this year. The School was also ranked 70th worldwide in the Research ranking proving the quality of its publications and research once again.
