Geopolitics: understanding and acting with responsibility

For almost 15 years, our school has made geopolitics a key part of its strategy and educational programs. Geopolitics has become an essential factor for managers and companies to better understand and guide their decisions. In our complex, digital world, students must know how to act quickly and responsibly when faced with unexpected situations.

A primary component of our curriculum

Geopolitics is a required subject in the 1st and 3rd years of the Grande Ecole program. Students may also study the topic more in-depth as part of a specialized option. Several double degrees are available with highly recognized partners: IRIS (Institut de Relations Internationales et Stratégiques), Bioforce and EISTI.
Geopolitics classes are also offered as part of other programs: Advanced Master's in Energy Management and Marketing, programs for high-level athletes, and our program for Technology Management Engineers.

A major event for geopolitics

Launched by GEM in 2009, the Grenoble Geopolitics Festival has become a leading European event in only ten years. This widely renowned and appreciated event is more than just a festival. It offers a unique opportunity for everyone from the general public to leading international experts to gather and exchange about international topics. With this event, the school also fully meets its goal to provide not only its students, but prep school and high school students with an opportunity to discover this field of study and participate in the event.
With more than 20,000 participants, 100 conferences and 140 experts spread out over 4 days, the 2019 Grenoble Geopolitics Festival was held both online and on campus—making it a unique and unmissable event.
