After a 22-year career in high tech, which included senior positions with three large organizations (Computer Sciences Corporation, Hewlett-Packard, and Sybase), Pat Brans transitioned into the world of writing and teaching. Author of two books (Master The Moment: Fifty CEOs teach you the secrets of time management, BCS Press, January 2011 and Mobilize Your Enterprise: Achieving Competitive Advantage through Wireless Technology, Prentice Hall, 2002), Brans has written over 150 articles for a number of publications, including Forbes, Computer Weekly, CIO UK, CFO World UK, Inform IT, Mobile Enterprise Magazine, and Enterprise Executive. He has also written several scientific reports.

Brans teaches courses on technology and innovation, project management, international negotiation, and effective written communication. He also gives workshops on time management.

In 2002, he placed third on the Influencer50 list of the most influential people in mobility in Europe. In 1994 Brans was awarded a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins. In 1986 he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Loyola University, New Orleans.
