My research looks at the causes and consequences of technological change as applied ot different energy and environment problems.  I am currently working on: measuring technological relatednes and crowding out in the context of the US shale gas boom; extending the technology diffusion model to account for socioeconomic inequality, using household level PV installation data from England and Wales; investigating distributive outcomes of inward investment to Brazil under the Clean Development Mechanism; testing whether technology learning rates differ across countries; and considering the ways in which the policy response to drought can be influenced by electoral cycles.
