My research broadly explores how people experience work with a particular emphasis on the body, identity, and power relations within contemporary places of work. Using various qualitative methodologies, I am interested in how these places and spaces of work, often situated as casual employment within the gig economy, influence experiences of sexuality, gender, emotions, and identity, in relation to organizing and organizations. I have published in the Journal of Business Ethics, Human Relations, Organization, and Organizational Research Methods. I specialize in teaching qualitative research methodology, human resource management, and organizational studies at all levels. Currently, I also serve as an Associate Editor of Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management. In my spare time, I am equally committed to perfecting my vegan banana bread recipe and binge watching legal dramas on Netflix.
