Dr. Maung K. Min – DBA 2013
Director of Business Programs, Penn State University - Lehigh Valley campus
Dr. Min is Director of Business Programs at the Penn State University Lehigh Valley (PSU-LV) where he leads the Bachelors programs in Business, and Project & Supply Chain Management. His responsibilities include teaching, program management, recruiting, and student advising.
Dr. Min’s multi-disciplinary research interest is in Sustainable Business focusing on corporate sustainability strategy, sustainable development goals, culture change, performance, as well as risk management in Supply Chain.
Prior to academia Dr. Min spent 30 years in business rising to global corporate director at a major US based pharmaceutical company. He led initiatives in the areas of Sustainability, EHS, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Systems (including Lean Sigma. Dr. Min excels engaging in a global environment having worked in North America, Asia Pacific, and Europe.
Dr. Min is a Board Member of Global Sourcing Council. The GSC is a non-profit organization focused on sustainable, socially responsible sourcing practices. He serves in Editorial Board of International Journal of Competitiveness. Dr. Min is also a member of AOM’s Social Issues of Management division.

Dr. Shailesh Rana – DBA 2017
Director for the University Business Center, Craig School of Business, California State University
Dr. Rana provides leadership for the University Business Center in developing relationships with regional businesses, governmental and community-based organizations in the creation of programs to enhance the Craig School’s outreach efforts and its role in community economic development.
Dr. Rana also serves as a lecturer for the Craig School of Business, teaching Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, and Corporate Finance classes.
He successfully published in the peer-reviewed journal Applied Economics while pursuing his doctorate degree. His research interests include US and Global Financial Markets, Global Financial Economics, and Corporate Finance.
Dr. Rana also holds an MBA and B.S. in Business Administration (Finance) from California State University, Fresno.

Dr. Benjamin Powers – DBA 2017
Head of The Southport School, Founder and Executive Director of the Southport CoLAB, Director of the Haskins Global Literacy Hub
Dr. Powers serves as headmaster of The Southport School, a leading day school for students with dyslexia and ADHD, and is Founder and Executive Director of The Southport CoLAB. In addition, he is the Director of the Haskins Training Institute, where he also serves as an affiliated research scientist, and is Chair for Scientific Symposia at The Dyslexia Foundation.
Powers has spoken at conferences around the world on topics including dyslexia and ADHD, building collaborative community partnerships to close the literacy gap and support the needs of diverse learners, and the importance of developing sustainable platforms of opportunity through entrepreneurship. He is the co-author of “Great Expectations: A Current Perspective on Education, Disability, and Society,” a chapter in the volume All About Language: Science, Theory, and Practice (Brookes Publishing, 2019). He also serves on the advisory boards of SXSW EDU, Jemicy School, and Camp Spring Creek; he is an honorary board member of Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities. Fusing his interests in education and entrepreneurship, he is also a mentor for an engineering entrepreneurship program at the University of New Haven.

Dr. Afshin Kateb – DBA 2019
Chief Financial Officer, Nimes Real Estate and Nazarian Enterprises
As Chief Financial Officer, Afshin Kateb brings over 25 years of hospitality and real estate industry experience to Nimes Real Estate. Mr. Kateb manages the finance department, including: accounting, tax, internal & external reporting, treasury/cash management, risk management, asset management, and financial planning & analysis. He also plays a very active role in the company’s acquisitions and project management areas.
Prior experience also includes: CFO of sbe where he provided strategic financial and operational oversight for its portfolio of hotels, restaurants and nightlife assets. Prior to sbe, he was a Senior Vice President of Lowe Enterprises Investors (portfolio manager responsible for asset management, portfolio management and structured finance of investments of a $1 billion portfolio), founding CFO of KOR Group a/k/a Viceroy Hotel Group (oversaw the company’s development of a portfolio of assets that included 3,200 multi-family units, various domestic and international real estate development projects and approximately 2,000 hotel rooms under management), VP of Planning and Analysis at Destination Hotel and Resorts, and management roles at Ernst & Young and ITT Sheraton Corporation.
Mr. Kateb also holds an M.B.A. degree from Pepperdine University and B.S. degree in Accounting from Woodbury University.
