PhD Program Celebrates First Graduate

Marko Pitesa (2009 intake) became Grenoble Ecole de Management’s first PhD graduate on March 13, 2014 after successfully defending his thesis on “Psychological Responses to Material Resource Scarcity”.

Dr. Pitesa’s research seeks to explain the conditions promoting socially desirable behaviors in organizations and in so doing find ways of fostering more productive and thriving organizations. It has been published in outlets such as the Academy of Management Journal, the Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and Psychological Science.

He has accepted a tenure-track position as an Assistant Professor in the Management and Organization Department of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland (USA).
