How can firms benefit from digital technologies in order to improve their business models? The Business Model Reconfiguration (BMR) research team at Grenoble Ecole de Management and its partners will examine this question over the next three years, financed by Agence Nationale de la Recherche (France).
A key issue of entrepreneurship and business creation is that business models change over time, markets and products evolutions, and that this is increasingly influenced by digital technologies. This influence is the main research focus of the BMR team, which coordinates the "Better Business Models" project. This program is financed by Agence Nationale de la Recherche up to €322 662 and will allow the BMR team and its partners to explore the topic over the next three years in two industrial sectors particularly impacted by digital technologies: health and entertainment.
Together, the project partners will develop new knowledge along three axes:
- Organization forms providing enterprises with the greatest potential to take advantage of digital technologies, in order to efficiently adapt their practices and business models
- Evolution of those organizational forms with time, industry and enterprise position (new or incumbent)
- How enterprises can develop and implement better business models.
The project will also produce training programmes and guidance for companies in order to disseminate the research findings.
