GEM student and alumni fly to success on Kickstarter

HEXO+, an intelligent drone system start-up, co-founded by Medhi Mugnier (a student on the Specialized Master in Entrepreneurship at GEM) and Sylvain Montreuil (GEM alumni) was launched on the Kickstarter platform and raised its $50,000 pledge goal within an hour. Two days later, pledges have reached over $ 464,439 with over 850 backers.

The campaign will last one month. According to statistics the French startup should become the most financed project in the history of the Kickstarter platform. It's already within the top 5 projects most looked at on Kickstarter!

HEXO+ - an intelligent aerial follow camera: no pilot, no cameraman, no headache.

HEXO+ offers a solution that makes aerial filming possible in the most remote places: on mountains, in the snow, and in all sorts of unpredictable situations.

The founders combined their expertise in action-sports movie-making, drone design and aeronautic software to create a drone capable of autonomously flying, filming and following, giving the user access to amazing aerial shots with the bare minimum: a drone, a camera and an app on their smartphone.
