Camillo Kahuazango, MBA Graduate Lands Top Job

Camillo Kahuazango, MBA Class of 2011, is an example of what can happen when preparation and drive meet an innovative MBA program

Two weeks after finishing the taught part of his MBA, Camilo landed a top management position as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at Biomax, a Colombian company leader in the distribution of oil products. He advanced to director just over a year later, shortly before graduating with distinction.

Professional and academic success have always been important to Camilo. He graduated with a dual Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from the Universidad de los Andes before beginning a career in finance, where he worked for international bank BBVA. Thinking he would need a qualification to boost his career progress, Camilo decided to join GGSB’s MBA, a top-ranked program whose international focus was a perfect fit for his professional aspirations.

Camilo praised the high quality of teaching and the superior faculty, a mix of academics and professionals he fondly remembers and with whom he developed lasting friendships. Among the highlights of his studies was the possibility of pursuing a specialization during the course, and the opportunity to learn an additional foreign language. Having honed his financial skills with the Finance specialization, and newly fluent in French, Camilo was able to take advantage of a world of opportunities even before his official graduation.

The time in Grenoble was, according to Camilo, as academically fulfilling as it was life-enhancing. From ski trips to resorts such as Les Sept Laux in the French Alps, to travels around Europe and beyond, life in Grenoble offered him a unique opportunity to progress both professionally and personally.

Camilo is currently based in Bogotá, where he is a true supporter of his alma mater.  As a GGSB alumnus with international professional experience, he helps students bridge the gap between their desires for professional advancement and further academic training. Whether increasing awareness of GGSB in his professional milieu or staffing the stand at recruitment fairs, Camilo is a true Ambassador.

Congratulations on your recent graduation!
