Christelle TORNIKOSKI holds a Doctorate in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Vaasa and a PhD in Management from EMLyon. She teaches International Human Resources Management at Grenoble Ecole de Management. She is Deputy of the Chair in Mindfulness, Well Being at Work and Economic Peace. Her research focuses on what motivates employees and examines what companies can do to do so. With regards to Well-Being, she studies ways of integrating mindfulness in the fields of research covering the employment relationship and psychological contract, the intangible social exchange of compensation and rewards within national or international organizations. She is particularly interested in the study of total and intangible rewards (such as recognition, appreciation). She has authored and co-authored articles on the expatriates’ compensation, total rewards and psychological contract published in international academic journals such as The International Journal of Human Resource Management (IJHRM), Cross-Cultural Management Journal (CCM), RESADERSSE International, and several book chapters. She is also a member of a research group specialized in expatriation at the University of Vaasa. The projects of this research group are financed by organizations, employee and employer unions, and consortiums of HR specialists. She has been the project manager at GEM who co-built the Global Reward Management Programme together with Vlerick Business School (leader of the project) and ESCP Europe Berlin. She is also a member of EARN (European Academic Reward Network).
