Curriculum Summary

1st year:

Your first year of studies will focus on the fundamentals of management. The core curriculum will provide you with basic knowledge about a variety of management topics such as marketing, administration, law, sales and financial analysis. If you wish, you may chose from one of several options during your first year (e.g., Ulysses program, a double degree or foreign language options).

Languages

Every year as part of the core curriculum, you will take at least 36 hours of English and 36 hours of a second language. You may also choose to follow all classes in English (English Track option) or follow the trilingual track (50% English, 25% French, and 25% Germany or Spanish).

Career Project

You will start building your career project during your first year of studies. This will help you choose the right curriculum options.  To validate your first year of studies, you are required to take part in a professional experience thanks to an internship, work with an association, a short term contract or an entrepreneurial project.

2nd year

The second year of the Grande Ecole program focuses on expanding your knowledge of the organizational aspects of a company. You will continue with the core curriculum, your chosen languages, and during the second semester, you will study a specialized topic of your choosing. During this year, you will also have to start choosing program options that match your interests and the needs of your career project. It is possible to chose a work/study option for your second year, which will allow you to spend one week in school and two weeks at your company.

Languages

As part of the core curriculum, you will continue studying English and your second foreign language (36 hours for each language). You will also be able to choose an English (English Track, MIB, Global Tech) or trilingual option.

Choosing A Specialization

During the second semester of your second year, you will choose classes tied to a specific specialization.

Work/study students can only access the following specializations:

  • Purchasing
  • Accounting / Finance
  • Marketing

Double degree

You may choose to earn a double degree with a partner business school or university. Courses for a double degree take place during your second and third year of studies.

Exchange Programs

Professional Experience

Except for work/study students, Grande Ecole students must have an internship (minimum 13 weeks between May and August), a short term contract or an entrepreneurial project in order to validate their year of study.

The Work Sabbatical: Take a Year Between Your 2nd And 3rd Years To Work In Company

Students may take a year-long sabbatical* to work at a company. This optional year allows students to explore their career plan in depth while earning valuable professional experience. To validate your sabbatical year, you must carry out a 13 to 26 week internship with a French or international company. You may also create your own business or have a short term contract with a company.

(* This option incurs additional school fees)

3rd Year: Fine-Tune Your Specialization
